Baptism

Baptism is the fundamental sacrament of our entry into the life of Christ in the Church. It is the gateway to all the other sacraments, especially the Eucharist. Baptism gives us new birth into Christ; it washes away our sins; it initiates us into the Paschal Mystery; and it incorporates us into the communion of saints.

Baptismal Preparation (for infants)
Parents desiring to baptize a child should contact the Parish Office at 631-261-1077 to arrange for a meeting with a Parish Priest and to register for the baptismal classes. Classes are normally held on the 4th Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
Unbaptized adults interested in preparing for Baptism follow the RCIA process, and should contact Judy Corbellini at rcia@saintanthonyofpadua.org for further information.
