Support Ministries

Charismatic Prayer Group

Contact: Austin M. Finley, Sr. (261-6576)

A group of parishioners who meet weekly on Thursday afternoons from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Parish Outreach to give praise to God in prayer, song and sharing. We reflect and share on the upcoming Sunday’s Liturgy of the Word. We have an active prayer chain for the needs of the parish. Life in the Spirit Seminars are offered! All are welcome! Come pray and praise God with us.

Commitment: Weekly meetings for an hour and a half.

Legion of Mary

Contact: Marie Baron (682-3007)

Come join the Catholic Church’s largest worldwide apostolic/evangelization organization of lay people! Active members are men and women who share our faith through a wide variety of face-to-face ministries and spiritual works of mercy. These include teaching religion, bringing communion to the sick
and home bound, praying with the elderly at nursing homes, praying outside abortion mills, and much more. The prayers of the Blessed Mother and our Auxiliary members support our witness and efforts. We also enjoy retreats, days of recollection and social interaction with other local Legion of Mary groups several times a year

Commitment: Active members meet every Wednesday at 11:00 am and complete one or two hours of Legion work per week. Auxiliary members are required to pray about 25 minutes a day including the rosary.

Nocturnal Adoration Society

Contact: Jim Levens (261-1619)

The Nocturnal Adoration Society is an international prayer association of Catholics dedicated to prayer before the Blessed Sacrament for the praise of God and for the needs of the church and the world.

Commitment: Members must be prayerful and need only to spend one hour once a month during the hours of the night, of the first Friday into Saturday morning, in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.  The hour is in answer to the appeal of Jesus “to watch one hour with me.”

Respect Life Committee

Contact: Marianne Wright (368-5612)

We strive to encourage a deeper respect for the sacredness of human life from conception to natural death. We educate and raise the awareness of parishioners as to what can threaten, cheapen or destroy the most vulnerable members of the human family, i.e. the unborn, the handicapped and the frail elderly.

Commitment: We only meet about two times a year (members are encouraged to participate in any letter writing campaign or distribution of pamphlets after Masses, etc.)
