Free van service during the week is provided on a limited basis to seniors and people with mental or physical challenges who do not have available transportation. We have a wheelchair lift.
The St. Anthony of Padua Parish Outreach van provides rides to pharmacies, grocery stores, Sunday Mass and medical appointments to people who need transportation.
Service is available free of charge Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for people who live in the boundaries of our parish. Rides are provided as far as Huntington, Commack, Northport, Centerport and East Northport. We also provide rides to Sunday Mass at St. Anthony’s. The van is equipped with a lift for people who use wheelchairs.
If you need a ride in our van, call 631-261-1695 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
If you would like to become a van volunteer – as a driver or assistant – please call Valerie Raineri at 631-261-1306 for details. Donations to help maintain and fuel our van are gratefully accepted.
For new riders, Parish Outreach must perform a phone interview. Donations are gladly accepted toward gas and maintenance for the van.
